Conversion from pannier to backpack form:

1.            Place the bag on its back with the label side down.

2.            Undo Velcro straps and place them through the rings and cinch the two compartments of the bag together.

Conversion from backpack to pannier form

1.            Place the bag with the label side down.

2.            Un-clip the shoulder straps. Wrap them around to the front of the bag. There are loops they can go through.

5.            Un-clip the 1″ quick release clips in the middle of the bag. Clip them to the straps just brought around to the front in step 2.

6.            Unfasten the velcro straps on the back of the bag and allow the bag to expand feed each strap out of the rings, then re-fasten the velcro strap.  The bag is now a pannier and ready to place on your bike.

7.           Un-Clip the hooks from the “D” rings at the bottom of the bag and fix them to either the bike frame at the wheel axle or to your bicycle rack.

8.            Use the strap loop on the central flat portion of the bag. Secure the pack to the rack near your seat. This will prevent sliding during steep climbs or on bumpy terrain. On the bottom of each side compartment (in pannier mode), you will find straps. A slider fixes them together (Commuter model only).  Use these straps to compress the pack at the bottom. They also adjust the hang of the side compartments away from your heel.

To use as a compression strap, slide the two straps in opposite directions with respect to one another.  To move the bottom of the side compartment away from your heel, first feed the strap. This strap clips to the bike rack. Feed it between the two webbing pieces. Then move the slider as close to your heel as possible.

Now attach the hook to your bike frame or rack and tighten the strap. Ensure all loose straps are tucked away. Thanks again for your purchase!

Converting from panniers to backpack mode:

  1. Lie the bag flat with front side up (label up). Tighten straps attached to the 1″ quick release buckles that go over the middle compartment.
  2. Unfasten the quick release buckles on both side compartments outside pockets. these straps are also used to fasten the day panpack to the back piggy back set up.
  3. Pull the other mating straps through the strap loop at the bottom of each side compartment. Let the straps lie on the floor. Next, turn the pack over so that the backing is showing (label side down).
  4. The upper portion of the shoulder straps are stored in a velcro enclosed pouch. This pouch is located on the backing of the pack. Simply pull the straps out of the pouch. Note how the shoulder straps have been fitted. They inserted into this pouch when converted back to pannier mode. You will need to release the quick strap keepers on the height adjust straps and pull the velcro sections apart.

  7. Fasten the detachable pads to the shoulder and waist straps (refer to padding instructions).
  8. Put the pack on and fasten the waist belt. You will probably need to adjust the height straps. Also, adjust the sternum strap and the cinch in straps on the belt to suit your body size.
